In a special Finance issue of the Upstate Business Journal, Nachman Norwood & Parrott was highlighted in an extensive article, particularly for the firm’s ongoing commitment to gender diversity in finance.
According to Forbes, women compose 45% of employees in the financial services industry but only 15% hold an executive-level position. At NNP, nine women hold positions and one-third are part of executive leadership.
The article notes that the firm believes their significant female population allows them to communicate with clients in a way they appreciate. Partner Maura Copsey describes her role at NNP as being a “transition specialist.” Maura sees many clients transition through different phases of life and being a resource to clients in these moments of change is a point of pride for the team at NNP. As Partner Bob Nachman explains, “our bread and butter is not just trading securities, it’s helping people’s families.”
